Harbor Restaurant

The Yacht Harbor of Santa Cruz is a special place in the Santa Cruz Community.  It is a hub of marine access and activity with a mix of Restaurants, residences, sail and motor boats, fisherman, beach volleyball and ocean activity.  The Harbor restaurant is located at the entrance to the Yacht Harbor on the former Aldos Restaurant site.  The seawall that supports the site needed to be replaced so the old Aldos building was demolished and the site was reengineered and rebuilt.  With that being the case the Owners of Aldos decided to not pursue a rebuild so our client hired us to propose a restaurant that worked within the Coastal Development approvals allowed for public access and use of the restroom facilities and provided an indoor and outdoor venue for dine in and take out.  Our design incorporates outdoor seating encouraging interaction and activity that can be enclosed during weather events.  It is a place where the community can gather to enjoy food, views and experience the wonderful energy of the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor.
