Lillians Restaurant is a staple in the Santa Cruz Community. The family owned business originally started in a small location just down the street from their current restaurant which warranted a larger space due to their success. At the time they designed the restaurant to maximize the seating which resulted in a cafeteria like feel and accoustic problems. Fuse was hired to redesign the interiors to create more private dining as well as help mitigate acoustic issues and give the restaurant a cohesive aesthetic. We wanted to keep to the familys history in the Santa Cruz food and fishing industries which is reflected in the design.
